making perfume
If you’ve ever wanted to make your own luxurious, sensuous perfume, follow the easy steps below and you’ll be well on your way to crafting scent-sational magic to make part of your brand, gift to loved ones, or all of the above.
Purenso® Ingredients
-
30 grams of any Fragrance/perfume
-
70 grams of Perfume Base (ready to use)
30% fragrance to 70% Perfume Base (You can easily scale this recipe if you want to make more. Simply adjust your quantities and use a larger beaker.)
Directions
Determine your ratio of ingredients. Since we are using a 100ml spray bottle, we are going to use 70% perfume base and 30% fragrance oil, which is 70 grams of perfume base and 30 grams of fragrance. Anytime you make perfume, using 20 - 30% fragrance oil is going to give you a nice, strong, lingering scent.
Measure/weigh your perfume base. Place your beaker on top of your scale and tare out your beaker on the scale’s settings so it doesn’t get weighed with your perfume blend. Add 70 grams of perfume base to your beaker.
Now pour 30 grams of fragrance oil into your beaker and mix well for 1 -2 minutes so they fully mix together.
Make your perfume spray-ready! After blending your fragrance and perfume base, your perfume is ready to use (so easy, right)! Pour your perfume into a 100ml spray bottle.
Spray yourself with your new creation and enjoy your new favorite scent!
Recipe Note
Creating your own perfume can be an immensely satisfying project. It’s a way to connect with the ancient art of perfumery while expressing your personal style. Have fun with it, and let your creativity lead the way!
Bonus Tips:
Always label your experiments with the date and ingredients so you can recreate or adjust as needed. For a lighter scent, consider diluting the mixture with more perfumer base. If irritation occurs (some essential oils can be potent), discontinue use or try a different blend.
