A Base for Your Perfumes and Fragrances

What is Perfume Base?

Purenso® Perfume Base is a dilutant that dilutes both essential and fragrance oils. It’s designed for perfume making as well as room/linen sprays. Made with a combination of alcohol, fixatives and dipropylene glycol, this skin-friendly dilutant is the perfect perfume mixer.

Why use Perfume Base for making perfumes?

We love this Perfumer Base as it has been formulated specifically with crafters in mind! It is great for making high quality perfume blends as the only thing you need to do is add your favourite scent!

Fixative:

Purenso® Perfume Base can act as a fixative in perfumes. It helps to slow down the evaporation of more volatile fragrance components, allowing the scent to last longer on the skin.

Volatility:

Purenso® Perfume Base is volatile, meaning it evaporates quickly. This property is essential in perfumery because it allows the fragrance to be released into the air when applied to the skin, creating the desired scent.

Dilution:

Perfume oils are highly concentrated, and using them directly on the skin could be overwhelming. Purenso® Perfume Base is used to dilute these concentrated oils to a more manageable and wearable concentration.

Solvent:

Purenso® Perfume Base is an effective solvent for many fragrance ingredients. It helps to dissolve essential oils, aroma compounds, and other ingredients used in perfumes. This allows for a homogeneous mixture, ensuring that the fragrance is consistent.

How is it used?

It works by binding concentrate/fragrance to the perfume base. Then as you spray the perfume, the base evaporates leaving the scent behind.
