Usually, a suitable soap mould can work with both, but demoulding time and heat exposure differ. Test the exact soap process with the mould before production.

Use water to measure cavity volume, then calculate your practical fill amount for the actual soap base or recipe. Do not rely only on external mould dimensions.

Sticking usually means the soap is still too soft, the formula is unusually tacky or the mould has not released cleanly. Allow more set time and avoid forcing the bar out.

Use temperatures appropriate to both the soap process and the mould material. Avoid unnecessary overheating because it can deform some moulds and affect soap quality.

Wash gently with a method suitable for the material, avoid sharp tools and let it dry fully before storage. Aggressive scrubbing can damage fine details.

Strong dyes, pigments and fragrances may leave temporary staining or odour. Test highly coloured or strongly scented batches if appearance of the mould matters.

Pour slowly and guide the soap into fine details rather than trapping air. A small trial helps establish the best pouring temperature and technique.

Modification can weaken the mould or alter cavity shape. For consistent production, use a mould designed for the required dimensions rather than altering it after purchase.
