Fill the clean mould with water and weigh the water to estimate cavity volume, then dry it completely before use. For soap or wax, allow a small processing margin rather than filling exactly to the brim.

Allow the product to set fully, then gently flex the silicone away from the edges before pushing the piece out. Forcing a soft or warm product can distort details or tear corners.

Pour slowly, tap the mould gently and work the material into fine details before topping up. For viscous soap or wax, adjust processing temperature within the safe range of the formula instead of aggressively shaking the mould.

Yes, especially for large or multi-cavity moulds. A rigid tray makes it easier to move the filled mould without flexing, spilling or distorting the cavities.

Only if the material temperature and mould specification are suitable for both. Fragrance, dye and wax residues can transfer, so dedicated moulds are better when colour or odour contamination matters.

Wash with a compatible mild cleaner, rinse well and dry completely. Store flat or supported so the mould is not permanently folded or compressed.

Some aromatic materials and strong pigments can adsorb into silicone. This may cause lingering odour or colour transfer, so test strong materials and consider dedicated moulds for dark or highly fragranced products.

Use only within the verified temperature rating of the exact mould. Excessive heat can damage silicone or deform supporting parts; control the process temperature based on both the mould specification and your formula.
