Description: White flakes of non-ionic polyoxyethylene ether of higher saturated fats (cetyl/stearyl alcohol). Ceteareth 20 has no odor and can be mixed with a wide variety of oils from fully natural to synthetic. Characteristics.
A good all round emulsifier to produce o/w emulsions which are compatible with a large range of oils. It can be used alone or best combined with other emulsifiers to help stabilise the emulsion.
Solubility: Dissolves in water & alcohol to form a colloid solution; can be mixed with mineral, vegetable or synthetic fats and oils

Uses: All kinds of emulsion-based cosmetic products like creams, lotions (especially sprayable lotions), foundations, hair conditioners, sunscreen products, cleansers, hair dye.
Application: Typical use level 0.5-30% (range of 15-30% used to make gel-like brushable hydrates). It is added to the oil phase. For external use only.
