Hydrolyzed Rice Protein (Liquid Form)
Great for skin, with anti-aging, moisturization benefits
Description: Highly purified protein and peptide concentrate obtained from rice. Has excellent skin-conditioning, anti-aging and film-forming properties. Has been shown to prevent premature skin aging and wrinkle formation. Water soluble.
Why do we use it in formulations?
Hydrolyzed rice protein has been shown to be fantastic for increasing the volume of the hair, in addition to being a good moisturizer and film former. It is recommended for sensitive skin, and is a good, hydrolyzed protein choice for anyone seeking a vegan, gluten-free option.
Charge: Hydrolyzed rice protein contains proteins with both cationic (positive) and anionic (negative) charges. These opposing charges help add volume to hair by repelling one another.
- Nourishes, softens the hair and makes the hair appear volumized
- Retains moisture in the skin protecting it from drying out and makes it soft and conditioned
- Found to reduce the appearance of wrinkles
Use: Anti-aging and anti-wrinkle creams, serums, and lotions. Hair care products including shampoos and conditioners.
Applications: Can be added to formulas as is; add to water-phase of formula or at the end of the formula. Recommended use level 2 - 5%.
Formulating suggestions: It is not recommended to expose material to temperatures above 40°C. However, if heat is required, it is recommended to add during the cooling phase after emulsion has formed. Avoid concentrated nitric or sulfuric acid, strong oxidizing agents.
