Nutmeg Essential Oil
Description: Nutmeg Essential Oil is extracted from the seed of Myristica Fragrans, through Steam Distillation method. Nutmeg comes from the tree Myristica Fragrans or Nutmeg tree. It is native to Islands of Indonesia and used all over the world in flavouring and cooking food. Nutmeg is known as, ‘Jaiphal’ in Hindi.
It has a very strong, woody and spicy aroma, that has a calming and psychoactive effect on mind and spirit. It is used in Aromatherapy to reduce stress and anxiety level. It has anti-spasmodic and relaxing effect on muscles and it also reduces joint pain, it is very popular in massage therapy for the same benefits. Nutmeg Essential oil has been used to treat skin infections and heal wounds because of its anti-septic benefits, it is added to infection treatments. It is also a natural carminative and it releases knots in the stomach and relieve menstrual cramps. It is added to diffusers to reduce muscle and mental fatigue.
