Inspired By: Oud Wood by Tom Ford

With Oud Wood, TOM FORD uses rare oud notes to overwhelm the senses with dark, earthy sensuality. Exotic rosewood and cardamom give way to a smoky blend of precious oud notes, sandalwood and vetiver. Tonka bean and amber add warmth and sensuality. Oud Wood envelops you in rare oud notes, exotic spices, and cardamom; and then exposes its rich and dark blend of sensuality.

Notes:

Top Note: Cardamom, Rosewood, Pink Pepper

Middle Note: Sandalwood, Vetiver and Patchouli

Base Note: Tonka Bean, Amber

Our fragrances are components of the highest quality available and are produced and designed especially for personal care and cosmetic products. Most fragrances are a blend of natural oils and specific aroma compounds which make it possible at all to create stable fragrances and scents. All fragrances can be used in practically all personal care products. They are strictly undiluted, full-strength oils based mixtures that have not been cut with solvents. This allows you to use much less fragrances in your product.

Use: Typical use 0.01-100%, miscible with other fragrances, potential for discoloration of final product (dependent on cosmetic ingredients used), water-insoluble. For external use only. DO NOT ingest. DO NOT use in eye care & lip balm/care formulations. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Applications: All kinds of personal care products (e.g. melt & pour soaps, oils, creams, lotions, cleansers, shampoos, shower gels, conditioners, bath bombs, bath salts) and perfumes, sprays, potpourri, diffuser reeds.

Phthalates: Product is Phthalate Free

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

No. It is an independent fragrance oil created around a similar scent direction. It is not manufactured, endorsed or affiliated with the referenced designer brand.

Avoid presenting your finished product as the original brand or implying affiliation. Use your own product name and review trademark and labelling requirements for the market where you sell.

The carrier changes evaporation and diffusion. Alcohol usually gives a faster opening, while oil systems can feel softer and develop differently. Compare both after the same ageing period at controlled fragrance levels.

Resting can help the blend settle and makes evaluation more consistent, but there is no universal fixed number of days. Judge the fragrance after it reaches stable clarity and odour in your chosen base and packaging.

No. Suitable levels depend on application, the exact fragrance restrictions, base compatibility and finished-product testing. Do not carry a perfume concentration directly into another product category.

Only treat it as CP-tested when Purenso specifically states that result for this fragrance. Otherwise make a small trial batch because acceleration, discoloration and scent retention can vary with the soap recipe and process.

Cloudiness can come from fragrance-base incompatibility, added water, temperature changes or poorly soluble fragrance components. Run small controlled trials; filtration may remove particles but does not fix an incompatible solvent system.

Yes, blending is possible, but the result becomes a new fragrance formula. Record weights, reassess the combined restrictions and evaluate odour, clarity and stability instead of assuming each material keeps its individual maximum allowance.

Not necessarily. Fragrance materials can vary or darken over time, but a major change in odour, appearance or performance should be investigated. Store tightly closed away from heat, direct light and unnecessary air exposure.

Use the neat smell only as a first impression. Fragrance materials can smell very different after dilution and dry-down, so evaluate the same controlled concentration in the actual base you plan to sell.

No. Fragrance oil is a formulation raw material, not a finished skin product. Incorporate it into a properly designed formula at an application-appropriate level and evaluate the finished product for its intended use.
