Stearic Acid
Description: Natural fatty acid occurring in vegetable fats. Anionic oil-in-water emulsifier. White to yellowish flakes, oil-like odor. Insoluble in water, soluble in oils & alcohols. It is commonly used to emulsify lotions made from scratch. This can also be used in candle manufacturing to raise the melt point and improve the hardness of candle wax.

Applications: Warm to melt for use; usual concentration 2-10%. For external use only.
