Post Overview
DIY Tinted Cheek & Lip Balm - Ingredient's Benefits
Beeswax -It is widely valued in skincare for its ability to create a protective barrier on the skin. This barrier helps to seal in moisture without clogging pores, making it ideal for sensitive areas like the lips and cheeks. It can also help stabilize emulsions and provide rigidity to stick formulations. This pure beeswax is odorless and the white coloring can easily be dyed to any desired color.
Shea Butter -It extracted from the nuts of the African Shea tree, is a rich and creamy emollient known for its deep moisturizing qualities. It helps to nourish, soften, and repair dry or damaged skin. In a tinted balm, Shea butter not only enhances hydration but also adds a luxurious, velvety feel to the product, making it easy to apply and comfortable to wear throughout the day.
Jojoba Oil -It is a lightweight and non-greasy oil derived from the seeds of the jojoba plant. Unique among carrier oils, it supports skin repair and protection, making it a powerful ingredient for maintaining soft, healthy lips and cheeks. It also provides long-lasting hydration and helps balance skin’s natural oil production.
Iron Oxide Red (cosmetic grade) -Our Iron Oxide Red pigment adds a beautiful, earthy tint to your lips and cheeks. It is safe, non-toxic, and perfect for everyday use. It blends easily into all skin tones, giving you a radiant, buildable flush of color — naturally.
✨ Optional: A drop of your favorite essential oil (like peppermint or lavender) for a dreamy scent.
